Kintsugi

If you have never heard the name before, it sounds kinda funny right?

It's actually Japanese and has a very interesting meaning.

Kintsugi is a Japanese art that repairs broken pottery with gold, rendering a new piece that is more exquisite than it was before the break. 

So que the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty Designer Papers.

These are the original cards I made first for my teams Monthly Card Challenge.

I wanted to show them this Fun Fold and I was busting to use those stunning papers. Plus my fave colour is blue so it was a no brainer.

Interestingly, this paper forms part of the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite, which of course also has a coordinating stamp and die set.

I believe some of the dies coordinate with some of the patterns on the dsp, so there is a Vase die and a pottery die.

The Embossing Folder is so detailed and the Flower Accents are Gold and gorgeous!

Because this dsp is Specialty, one side of the designs are gold foiled and the B side is a complimentary Matte pattern.

I'm really happy with these cards and I look forward to sending them on their way to someone soon.
