A few weeks ago, I saw a video getting around face book that showed a lady demonstrating this technique...and I loved it.
So in no way is this anything I have invented but it is so simple and easy I'm kicking myself for not thinking of it!
Now I was a bit skeptical when I saw it and thought "that is too easy, I bet it doesn't actually work"...so curiosity got the better of me and off I went to try it.
I had amazing success.....it does actually work!!
So after many practise attempts on scrap and learning some tips along the way, I felt confident enough to transfer this technique from a book, to just loose paper and then eventually onto a card front so I could make a card from it.
Here is the result
In a nut shell, the technique is simply dipping twine (that's what I used) into ink and then setting down between two sheets of paper, holding down the top piece while you pull the tread through...then it reveals this pattern.
Of course you can vary the pattern by simply laying down the twine in different shapes on the paper.
