Playing with Blends

After pulling myself out of my latest mojo funk, I decided I needed to play with the Blends more.

I discovered by experimenting a little first, that its all in the water application.

After a few attempts and some pieces of scrap water color paper later, I think I got the hang of it. So I set to making a background piece that I could embellish.

So I took a piece of water color paper and cut to the desired size for placement on the card. Then I used the Embossing Buddy on the paper to prepare for embossing.
I then stamped the flower in Versamark ink and coated in White Embossing Powder and then heat set with the heat gun.
I waited a few minutes before spritzing with a spritzer and then using the Aqua painter to spread the Brusho that I sprinkled on. I waited for the embossed image to show through before sprinkling a little bit more brusho over the top in another color to give a speckled look. Then I set aside and allowed to dry before placing all the layers on the card base.

Then I just added my sentiment and raised that up on dimensionals for a bit of depth, added a gold facetedd gem for the centre of the flower which I think perfectly matches the brusho color I chose and now its a lovely birthday card.
I'm so pleased with how this card turned out.
