A card for Mum

This Bundle has fast become one of my faves and has shot to the top of the list of go to sets.

One of the things I like about it so much is that the die set has a fewdies that can be used on their own without the coordinating stamps, meaning I could make something like this

The original designer of this layout is Varina Shapiro of Simple Stamper.

Her version used different colours for the flowers, however because I decided to make this for my mum, her fave colour is Red so I made them all in Real Red with the bases of the flowers die cut in Cherry Cobbler for some contrast.

I have used Secret Sea for the stems and I am super in love with this colour combo......my mind jumped straight to Christmas!

Then complimentary colours of Cloud Cover and White, with a soft embossed background with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and WOW. What a stunning and simple card.

I did cheat a little and I changed how the sentiment was done. Varina Heat Embossed her sentiment with white on Cloud Cover. I was being lazy and just wanted to stamp it so I chose Secret Sea ink for the sentiment, which is from the Blooming Phrases stamp set and coordinates with the stems.

I'm really happy with this and mum has received it and she loves it too.
