This is a set from the current Jan to April Mini Catty that was sadly overlooked by yours truly.
After seeing so many gorgeous projects made with it recently, I caved and added to cart!!
So when it finally arrived and I got my hands on it, I knew I wanted to do something different.
I decided to combine it with my teams current monthly card challenge which is this unique fun fold.

Well it's more of an altered card front and I really like it. Once you get the measurements right, they are quite fun.
It's just a case of chopping out a bit of cardstock from the front panel and then putting the bottom part back. To keep that in place, thats where you need a big die cut, to cover the gap and adhere to both the top and bottom panels.
I had seen this done before but held together on the underside by an Acetate sheet which is also an option but I've left that out for this version.
So when searching for large dies, I knew I could use the Memorable Blooms dies which are the perfect size. For something different, I went with colours I don't normally use much at all let alone together but WOW I'm loving the result.
So bright and cheerful and happy.
I've also used a nice and simple option for the sentiment with a greeting from an Ephemera pack and then used a mix of coordinating coloured Stampin' Write markers to colour in but you could use anything to do this.
