I came across this stunner on Pinterest, the original made by fellow Stampin' Up! Karen Henderson.
It's such a fancy Christmas Card and despite my promise to myself, that I would keep my christmas cards simple this year, I couldn't help myself and set about CASE-ing this.
I have made a few changes from the original and probably the biggest difference is that I filled mine out with more of the die cut leaves, to make it more busy.
I also used a different stamp set to create a background on the die cut that the sentiment is sitting on.
This is because I wanted to use the Golden Greenery bundle.
Did you know that some of the dies from that bundle actually coordinate with the Season of Green & Gold Specialty Papers AND the Graceful Greenery Vellum? Which in my opinion made for filling out the greenery section so much easier. Remember, I dont like fussy cutting lol.
The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Season stamp set and I paired that with a die from the Changing Leaves Dies, Those dies come in a bundle with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. I really wanted the sentiment to stand out against so many greens so I risked it with some Soft Sea Foam cardstock and I think it works perfectly.
For a bit of interest, I trimmed 2cm off ther front panel and then adhered a strip of specialty on the insert.
I'm really happy with this one and I can't wait to send it out this holiday season.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today.
