Merriest Trees in Watercolour

I'm a big fan of Tammy Wilson, Artisan Designer from the U.S. She is just so inspiring and next level creative.

So when I saw her version of this card, I really wanted to give it a try.

Water colouring isnt my strong suit but doesn't mean I can't try, practise makes perfect right?

My trees came out nothing like Tammys, hers were much darker with more splots. However I'm still happy with my version.

I used Blending Brushes to add Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock ink to Basic White thick cardstock. I did a whole sheet so I had extra for another card. I then used a Water Painter to splatter water droplets on the cardstock and then dried with a heat tool. I used another Water Painter to pick up some white ink and splatter that lightly onto the cardtsock as well, drying again with the Heat Tool. To see the white effects, I really needed my green ink application to be darker, but thats ok, lesson learned for next time.

Once it was all dry, I used the dies from the Merriest Trees bundle to die cut the christmas trees. Paired with the A Walk in the Forest dsp, More Dazzle specialty for the blingy bits and the Snowflake Sky embossing for the background, this makes for one very decorated card.

I cant wait to send this one out this festive season. Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today. All items used to make this card feature below and are available from my online store anytime.

Until next time

Happy Stamping!
