I do love to CASE cards! (if you hadn't already picked up on that lol)
Its a great way to put your own personal spin on a card you really like made by someone else. Just a few subtle changes can really make a difference when adding your own flair.
This one didn't quite turn out anything like I had hoped so I had to adapt and make some changes.
This is another CASE from the Quarterly demonstrator magazine Stampin' Success.
The original was in a different color combo all together.
It was in whites, with a light wood textured background and with stamped seashells for the dies.
Turned out I didn't have the same papers or the seashells stamp.
So I went for a totally different color combo and stamp set and just kept the vellum piece over- layed on the dsp.
Working with vellum can be tricky because of adhering it down without being able to see the adhesive thru the vellum.
I got away with it on one side of this card however, since I have made the card, the left corners are now starting to curl up.
So really on this card I have just CASE'd the layout and adapted the elements to suit what products I had. This was a good test of my creativity.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my project today.
A full list of items used to make this card features below and all items are available from my online store.
Until next time
