Today in Australia we are celebrating our nations birthday with a public holiday...gotta love days off.....just means a day to get creative.
I love this county and it warms my heart to be an Aussie.
To celebrate, I made this
Of course, this will also double as a Valentines Day card and I CASE'd this gorgeous layout and design from Wendy Krause...A Stampin' Up! demonstrator on the Sunshine Coast right here in sunny Queensland.
What I am drawn to most about this card is the colour combo. The colours are very earthy and neutral tones....I am very in tune with colours of nature, particularly these. The card is quite soft and the colours blends so well.
Funnily enough, when I look at the dark heart with the small dots, it reminds me of chocolate! I should probably stop looking at this card, its making me peckish lol
I have also used a paper pack I was never keen on when I first saw it.
However considering I never thought I would use it, its turned out to be the perfect paper for the background.
This is such a simple card but striking to look at.
