When I first saw this card, I was like..WOW!
The simplicity of it is stunning.
This card is a CASE from Sue Mohr. I believe Sue is a team member of Mary Fishs Stampin' Up! team in the U.S.
I have made mine a little different from the original as there were a few elements I wanted to change up.
Firstly, I loved the colour combo of Soft Suede, Black &White with a touch of just the right shade of green.
Sue used the Petal Burst Embossing Folder for the background, however right from the get-go, I wanted to make the card "neutral". As in, not feminine and nor masculine either.
So I chose the Seaside folder, after toying with using the Simple Stripes folder from the new Occasions catty.
I also chose a different designer paper for the word "you". I love the addition of that green with a touch of shine in the pattern.
Sues card also cleverly featured a punched out cat very nicely placed inside the O in You.
Now I'm not a cat fan so I chose a simple vellum leaf from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit.
I'm really happy with my choices for making the card my own.
One tip though, when choosing white cardstock, be sure to use the Thick Whisper White so when you emboss it, it wont rip. (learned that the hard way! lol)
