Break out the Washi!

I LOVE Washi Tape.
I just don't use it enough!
I hoard it like there is going to be a world shortage lol

I was going through my Washi Tape stash recently and realised I had way too much (can that even be a thing?), so I decided to search Pinterest for some inspiration for Washi Cards.

I am a HUGE fan of Janneke de Jong, a Stampin' Up! demo in the Netherlands.

She made a beautiful card with Washi so I CASE'd it of course!

Firstly, I love the color combo in this Washi pack. Secondly, I love the simplicity of the card.
I have used a different stamp for the background and I have also "stamped off" to give the lighter shades. I have used Bermuda Bay for the background but now realize I should have used Pool Party instead.

I also deliberately adhered my "Congrats" die cut wobbly...I have no idea why, I thought I would be fun to not have everything clinically straight.
I added a wooden element to my card which Janneke didn't make to hers, just to add a touch to the bottom right corner.

This card will be going to the winner of my draw this month.

I really enjoyed making this card and using up some of my Washi.
Who would have thought brightly colored patterned tape could be so addictive and fun!

Thank you for stopping by to check out my project
A full list of the items used to make this card features below and all items are available from my online store.

Until next time
Happy Stamping! (tap tap tap)
