Simple cards are my thing, I believe less is more. You can't get much simpler than this one.
I've never been a fan of "busy" cards. I like to put on them only just what they need and no more. Especially with Christmas Cards.
It's pretty easy to do when you have such gorgeous sets to use from the new 2017 Holiday Catalogue.
This one is sort of a CASE of a project pictured in the catalogue on page 20.
It's actually the lid of a gift box decorated with this stamp. So I just adjusted it to a card, kept the background simple and understated so I could make the tree the center piece.
The Stitched Shapes framelits are getting a right workout at the moment, I just love them.
Now I'm not a fan of fussy cutting, however, cutting the tree was relatively easy, you just need a good pair of small paper snips.
Finish off with a bit of bling for the tree and a nice swirly sentiment for the bottom and you are done.
I really do like this one. I think any SU color pairs nicely with Smokey Slate as the base.
