Strawberry Sketches SS008

Hi everyone!

It's that time of the week again......I'm a bit late this week but better late than not at all.

I think I have just scraped in in time.

So, as always, Sarah gives us a great sketch to start us off and we can interpret as we please.

I'm absolutely loving the items in the new Holiday Catalogue.

When I saw this sketch I immediately thought of the leaves from the Christmas Pines Bundle.

Now I have not only used the sketch for my creation but I have quite literally CASE'd the sketch as well.

I have used Mint Macaron for the base and Smokey Slate as the layer, just as its shown in the sketch!

I have also used for an added touch, the Pine Bough embossing folder for the background on the smokey slate layer, finished off with the accents in Gold Glimmer.

Coincidentally, the Pine Bough Embossing Folder is my Shopping Rewards Gift for this month.

Now the Black Embossing powder was not playing nicely the day I made this. Even after using the Embossing Buddy during the prep before I embossed, it still managed to find a way to splatter in some places. The black powder is now retired but you could use Clear in its place.

I'm quite chuffed that I have made another christmas card and its only September!
