#punchitup Challenge by Stampin Up!

Stampin Up set us a challenge this month and it's never been done before.
Using at least two out of four specific punches, we were set the challenge to show what we can create with those punches. We are to submit our creations to Pinterest using the hashtag #punchitup by 30th June and they will randomly choose 20 winners.

On the punches list were:
Pansy Punch
Hearts Border Punch
Fun Flower Punch
Sweetheart Punch

Now..punch art is not my strong suit...that crown goes to Carolina!
However I was determined to make something and force myself to step outside my comfort zone.

So I chose to use the Sweetheart and the Pansy Punches. Then my extras were the Oval, Circle and small flower punches.

I chose a Black & White theme as I was going for a classic elegant look.

Then used the Sweetheart punch outs to create the dress, the bodice section (boobs) and the neckline.
I only used one Pansy punch out and that was trimmed to create the "bow".

Then the oval and circle punches were used for the hat, then I just finished off with one Rhinestone basic jewel for the centre of the bow and a row of Pearl basic jewels for the necklace.

The small flower punch was used to decorate the dress.

Not my best punch art, however an improvement on previous attempts. I'll get there eventually.
I'm glad I gave it a try.

Here is a list of supplies I used to create this card:
