I call this one my Elegant Lines card. For a long time now, my three favourites together have been Stampin Up colours Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. I love earthy tones and there is just something about these three together that makes me fall in love with my hobby more and more every time I see them together. Along with my all time favourite DSP, Parisian Breeze, this is a match made in heaven!
It's a simple card to assemble too, not much involved really, yet it is elegant. I CASE'd it from one of my all time favourite Stampin Up tutors Catherine Pooler. I have learnt a card doesn't have to be over the top or extra busy to be visually stunning, sometimes less is more!
To make this one I used the Crumb Cake as the base and dry embossed the front with the now retired Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. I then trimmed a piece of patterned Parisian Breeze (also retired) DSP to adhere across the front. I punched a strip of Baja Breeze card stock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch to lay across the top of the patterned paper. The butterflies were cut and embossed at the same time out of Buckaroo Blue card stock and using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Folder and adhered to the card randomly using Glue Dots. I then used the very versatile Pretty Petites Stamp Set to stamp onto Crumb Cake card stock "just for you" sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and used the co-ordinating Petite Curly Label punch to punch it out. I adhered that to the card randomly with Stampin Dimensionals and finished it off with a little bling by adding a Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the corner of the wing.
After making this, it has wet my appetite to make more using these colours! I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did making it.

Stop number 4 is the talented Angela Lorenz at http://angscraftycards.blogspot.com/2013/12/crazy-crafters-blog-hop.html. Keep hopping and check it out!

  4. Very very nice. That is one of my fav embossing folders as well and it works so well with a fluttering of butterflies.
