Berry Botanical Vellum

The Berry Botanical Vellum is a beautiful thicker vellum and very pretty.

However working with Vellum can be tricky because of adhering it down, if you aren't careful, the glue can be seen through the pattern.

To get around this, I decided to use it in a peek-a-boo type card, highlighting the vellum but the adhesion can't be seen.

This design is also a great way to use the "negative" of a die cut.

So I simply used a fern die from the Fern & Flora die set to cut out the main window and then just layered some of the patterned vellum behind it.

To give it some depth, I popped the top layer on some dimensionals.

To finish off I Hot Foiled the sentiment in Silver Foil on white and then die cut with the coordinating dies, added a bloom embellishment and done!

This makes for a simple card but really lovely and easy to do.

You could use this layout for Birthdays and Thinking of You as well. You can also switch up the vellum and use dsp in its place also.
