Happy Birthday Eric

I think I've mentioned this before but I do struggle with cards for men!

So when I sat down at the craft desk to make this card for my team members son Eric, I did scratch my head.

I wanted to keep it bright and happy but not over the top.

Eric is turning 18 today so I wanted to make sure I put that on the card as well.

I did consider putting his name on the front however, because I've used the Playful Alphabet dies, I realised it would be too cluttered with the other elements so I left it off.

The Peaceful Glimmer was perfect to use with the dies as they add a bit of sparkle to celebrate such a milestone but arent feminine.

Being a teenager turning adult, I knew he would understand the whole hashtag thing, I thought I would look really cool speaking his language. You know how the kids talk these days lol.

Rather than a stamped background, I opted for something a bit fun for interest using some scraps of bright coloured dsp and cut into different shapes and then layered randomly.

I added a few punched out stars in Silver glimmer to add rather than embellishments to finish.

I'm happy with it and I hope he likes it.

I popped an Itunes Gift Card in it as well as he loves his tech and downloads fun things.
