I'm definitely in Christmas Card mode, I'm so glad I started making them a few weeks ago.
I was getting prepared for the 2024 Christmas mini Catalogue release for demos, so I saw it as a perfect oportunity to start now with new products on the way.
Plus I say every year, I'm starting early this year, so by the time I mail them out, I have more than I need. It worked so well last year so I've made a point to continue with that this year.
One of the cards I have on hand this year is this fun fold made with one of my fave christmas papers, the Season of Green & Gold Specialty.
This paper is WOW and the fun fold is something different.
I happened upon this fun fold through a video shared to You Tube by Sunny Day Stamping! I was intrigued straight away and converted the measurements from Imperial to Metric. I must say, it was quite easy to put together, it's all about layers and folds.
The colour combo was easy to create as I used colours that are used in the papers. This card is perfect to showcase these papers because there are several panels to adhere any side of the dsp to show it off. When you have multiple panels, the possibilities are endless.
The top flap opens to reveal a panel inside that's large enough to write the sentiment,
The only issue I've just discovered with this card is standing it up on it's own. My suggestion would be to lean it up against something, it's too pretty not to show it off.
Here are the measurements I used:
Start with a tent fold base then cut off a piece at 9cm landscape.
Dsp Panel - 14cm x 10.1cm
and smaller front piece - 5.2cm x 10.1 cm
Front Flap - 7.5cm x 20 cm and score at 10cm
Front layer - 7cm x 9.5 cm
Inside layer for sentiment - 7cm x 9.5cm
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today. All items used feature below and all are available from my online store anytime.
Until next time
Happy Stamping!
