Going Back in Time.

Sepia meaning: a reddish brown colour associated particularly with monochrome pics of the 19th and 20th centuries.

This is surprisingly easy to create.

I remember doing this once in school, for a project and asking mum if she could spare a few Tea Bags so i could stain the edges with Tea. It actually worked and even mum was impressed.

This time however, its much easier to create with ink. A Distinktive Stamp Set works best. These stamps require less ink to create the best image and really highlights the outline of the image.

To achieve the lighter areas of the image, I simply tapped the stamp in the ink pad and then stamped off once on some scratch paper and then stamped the image on Vanilla cardstock using Pecan Pie ink.

The edges were brushed with a sponge dauber also in Pecan pie.

I'm really happy with how this looks so I encourage everyone to get your inks out and give it a try.
