Pink Ribbon for Courage

I was saddened to hear from a friend of mine that a dear friend of hers had received news that her cancer had returned and this time it was terminal. It broke my heart.

She asked me if I would make a Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon card for her with the theme being "strength".

Whilst treatment wont help her anymore, strength and courage will help her through.

So I set about to make this

I used the now retired Ribbon of Courage bundle which is perfect for these cards.

Of course it had to be in pink so I chose Melon Mambo to go with white.

A brushed on watercolour background to keep it simple done with the Aqua Painters and then I die cut the letters to spell out strength from the white piece. The letters were then cut out again from the Foam Adhesive Sheets so they could be mounted back in their negative spaces, giving the depth.

The ribbon was heat embossed in white embossing powder and I fussy cut the Courage. The ribbon sort of acts as the "&" so the card reads Strength & Courage.

I wish every Breast Cancer fighter and survivor strength and courage during their journey.
