On the Ocean

I must admit, when I saw this in the Annual Catty when it came out last year I was not fussed and I skipped pat that page pretty quickly.

I just thought that I wouldn't use the bundle enough to justify buying it.

However my friend pucrhased it and was kind enough to let me borrow it.

So I made this

Now I would love to be able to take the design credit for this but no, I CASE'd it.

After seeing the amazing original made by Danish Demo Kaylee den Breejen, I wanted to give it a go as it's totally out of my comfort zone.

It meant I needed to crack out the blending brushes and I'm not the worlds best colourer.

However it was made a little easier just working with one colour.

I left a sentiment off the front as I felt it would look out of place, I think the scene does all the work. I can always pop a sentiment inside the card. I used a Water Painter and some white ink to create the splatters on the background to mimic a starry night sky.

I will be keeping this in my stash for un unexpected Male occasion when I need a masculine card. I'm pretty pleased with my effort and I'm so glad I gave it a try. A big thank you to my friend for letting me borrow the bundle.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today.

Until next time

Happy Stamping!
