Layered Florals

I was not a fan of this Embossing Folder when I first saw it in the Mini catty however it only takes one card on Pinterest made with it and then it's very quickly added to the list! I just thought it was going to be too busy, turns out I was wrong.

I was eager to try colouring this folder as it gives the raised emboss image real dmiension and depth.

I thought the technique was relatively simple however I learned something.

First thing I learned is that if you want this look, its best to emboss on dark coloured card stock. We tried a pastel colour to begin with and it didn't have the depth.

Now normally I thought you would simply apply the ink straight to the correct side of the folder and then pop in the cardstock and run through the machine. It didn't work. I don't know why, it gave me a headache trying to work it out. So instead we applied the white ink on the embossed image after it had been through the machine, with a blending brush and just lightly, enough to cover the raised images. This gave me the effect I desired.

Now I'm relieved I added that folder to my collection.

I'm really happy with this one and I can't wait to send out out to someone.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today, all items used to make this card feature below and are available from my online store anytime.

Until next time

Happy Stamping!
