Layered Florals

I'm quite fussy when it comes to Embossing Folders.

I don't like them to be too busy and it really does all depend on the pattern.

I like a subtle background, with a generic pattern. So when I saw this my immediate thought was it's too busy and I won't buy it.

Then I caved and thought "I'll get it just in case" 

Then I saw this made by Mary Fish of Stampin' Pretty in the U.S.

Well that changed everything and I'm so glad I bought it after all, in the hope I would see something I wanted to make because that's exactly what happened!

The wonderful thing about embossing folders is that if they do have a busy pattern, like this one, they can be the star and the entire focal point of the card, so there isn't much left to do.

You don't want to be dresing up the front too much or you will cover that stunning detail, so like this one, it just needs a simple sentiment and that's it. It helps if you have a stylish colour combo to go with it. It sets the pattern off perfectly.
