Now I know that it's not an Aussie thing to have Horse and Sleighs here, nor a white christmas with snow and it's certainly not our cold season. We are privy to a warm christmas, blue skies, time on the white sandy beaches enjoying the sunshine.
So this card was totally left of centre but I really wanted to make something different and the products I've used are winter themed so it was an opportunity to make something unusual for us.
The Horse and Sleigh Bundle was obviously designed with the US and European markets in mind however it doesn't mean we can't use them here. I'm still happy to send this card to someone in Australia at christmas time.
I particularly like the look of a "shadow" as opposed to using the stamp to colour the image and then die cut. A bit of a cheats way if you aren't into colouring. I don't mind it but I have to be in the mood and sometimes I want something a little quicker so I'm happy to go for a different look.
I've let the coordinating paper do most of the work and added the die cuts as an extra to the landscape theme.
Stamping straight onto the dsp also saves time as well and look just as good. So I've done a few things different here I wouldn't normally do but it's good to change it up every now and then and step outside the box.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my card today.
