Challenge Yourself

Each month my team participate in a group challenge within the team that I throw at them and it's always something different.

This month is a technique and one I've been wanting to try for a few months. 

This is called the Floating Element Technique.

I really enjoyed giving this a go...it's really easy and it looks great! I told them they could use any colour combo and any theme. After a bit of research, aka Googling, I couldn't find any christmas themed Floating cards so that's the theme I chose for mine.

 You could also use scraps of designer papers for this technique too, along with any colour combo that takes your fancy plus for any occasion. I really do love how this technique gives the impression that the element is "floating". There is a really good techniue tutorial video by Lisa Curcio on You Tube, which is the one I watched to learn how to do this. Keep in mind, you are going to need some acetate sheets.
