Sending Love

I absolutely love spending time scrolling through Pionterest and Insta for ideas and inspiration and I came across a card I fell in love with that I knew I had to CASE.

However, the challenge being that the card wasn't a Stampin' Up! card, meaning it wasn't made with Stampin' Up! Products.

That's totally ok, I knew I had those products to turn it into a Stampin' Up card.

However, it didn't quite turn out as expected but it's slowly growing on me.

Firstly let's start with the background. It was supposed to be a Tufted look, scored criss crossed diagonally with little diamonds at each cross section, you know like the pillows. However it was difficult to do with the score board so for the sake of the video, yes I was doing it live streamed with my team, I kept to squares.

Next, I had to find some dies that were similar and the closest I could get was these gorgeous Summer Shadows dies. Of course it had a completely different look to the original which threw me off, it wasn't was I was going for. However the only element I kept the same was the colour combo, there is something about Crumb Cake and White together that just pops.

The sentiment had to be hand cut as I couldn't find a long enough die that was slim enough. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso to break up the Crumb Cake & White.

The colour rule I live by is 60,30,10. Meaning your main bold colour is 60% of the card, your compliment colour is 30% of the card and your accent or small added touch colour is 10%.

I've finished it off with some Flower Trinkets, well just one for the middle. This card is certainly one I will send someone to let them know I am thinking of them.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today. All items used to make this card feature below and are available in my online store anytime.

Until next time

Happy Stamping!
