Monthly Card Challenge

This months Monthly Card Challenge that I set for my team is the White Wash Technique.

After seeing a tutorial video by Lisa Curcio on You Tube and realising how easy it was, having never tried it before I thought this would be perfect.

Most, if not all of my girls have white ink of some sort and other than that, all you really need is a Blending Pen to apply the ink.

Not much else is needed.

Here is my challenge card.

I made this card on the fly, it's actually a CASE and yet turned out nothing like the original.

I love it when that happens.

Once I got the colour combo nailed, then the layout, it was just a matter of putting it all together. Because I had never tried the White Wash technique before, I decided to have a few practise goes on some scrap, then once I was happy, I stamped the image in Early Espresso and applied the white.

I think this technique gives a beautiful soft effect and looks beautiful on darker cardstock. If you don't want your colours to run into each other, be sure to stamp your image in Versamark and heat emboss with white Embossing powder, this will act as a barrier when you apply the white.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today.

All items used to make this card feature below and are available in my online store anytime.

 Until next time

Happy Stamping!
