We don't often think about the Negative piece we create when die cutting...you know that piece that leaves the shape in the card stock of what you have just cut?...the piece you inevitably throw away.
Well, now I am on a roll and back in the swing, as mentioned yesterday, I'm on a CASE-ing run and todays card is CASE'd from Mary Fish of Stampin' Pretty in the U.S. I'm a HUGE fan of Mary's because I am so drawn to her style. It's sharp, clean, crisp, light, simple....well you get the idea.
What a fantastic way to use the "Negative" piece of this beautiful die.
It's such a simple layout too but I think its the color combo that really makes it pop.
I have also used another die set for the word "Hugs". Interestingly, that die cut word is actually surrounded by a circle when cut.
So I just cut each side at the end of the word and cut it out of its surround.
However...in my haste to apply the finishing touches, I have added Black Rhinestones to the bottom.....which are now Retired! (slaps head).
But you could use any embellishment or Rhinestone you wish or even leave them off all together.
This card took no time at all to create..I do love quick and simple cards.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my card today.
