Add a Little Twist!

One of the amazing things I love about being a part of the Stampin' Up! family is the connections you make and the groups you become a part of.

I'm very fortunate to have an amazing upline, or as I like to call her, my Mentor.....
Kylie Bertucci.

So when I saw her post recently for this months Alaska Achievers Blog Hop (which I missed..again), I immediately wanted to CASE this card. I know kylie wont mind.

There is so much I LOVE about this card, where do I start.
However, I had something else in mind.
Same layout and design, but different stamp set and color.
Here is what I came up with

I adapted it to a Christmas card as I'm on one last Christmas card dash.

I never would have thought to use Lemon Lime Twist as a base Christmas Card color but it works. I had no idea how it was going to look so I just made it and as the card came together, I could see I had made the right choice.
Again, not a conventional color and something a bit different from the usual.

I also had to experiment with which ink to use for stamping the sentiment on the background.
Versamark was too light so I decided to go with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink on the Lemon Lime Twist card.

A bit of Ombre ribbon to finish and I've whipped up another quick card in less than 15 mins.

You could adapt this card to any occasion, just change up the colour, chose the desired sentiment and add a touch of coordinating ribbon and you have a winner.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my project.
