Quilted Christmas

This is another set, that when I purchased it, I said to myself "I'm never going to use that"...
Which begs the question, then why buy it in the first place?

Well like any Stampin' Up! Demo will tell you, when you see something in the catalogue, regardless of whether you are going to use it or not (that's neither here nor there), you MUST have it. lol

So when it finally arrived, I must admit, it did sit in the collection for a few weeks.
Then I started noticing beautiful cards made with it,
so it inspired me to make this

When I sat to make it, I drew a complete blank. I had no idea where to start or what to make.
I did see a gorgeous card in traditional Christmas colors on Pinterest made with the Gold Foil Snowflakes as a background so I started with that.

I'm really into adding dynamic colors with Crumb Cake at the moment and I wanted to steer away from the usual Christmas colors of red and green so I mixed it up a bit with this color combo.
The "quilted" pieces inside the "star" shape are all individually die cut out and then adhered to the stamped star outline.

I'm happy with how it turned out and glad I sat to make something with this set.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my project today.
A full list of items used to make this card features below and all items are available from my online store.

Until next time
Happy Stamping! (tap tap tap)
