When I saw this card orginally made by Mary Fish of Stampin' Pretty, it was instant love.
How gorgeous is it?
A Christmas wreath made with the new leaf punch, all out of foil card and some glimmer paper!
I knew immediately I wanted to CASE it. (Copy and Selectively Edit).
That's the great thing about CASE-ing...you take a few elements and keep them original and change or edit a few of the others.
Here is my attempt
As you can see, it is a little different from Marys but I have kept a few elements the same.
For example I have kept the base and layers the same, along with the same foil and glimmer card for the leaves. I have also used the same ribbon but I have chosen to leave the bow off...this is simply because my wreath layout turned out wider than the original so adding a bow makes it a bit squishy and a bit busy. It also takes the focus off the wreath.
I wanted to make that the focal point.
I also chose a different stamp set for the sentiment...I thought the "sparkle" part was quite fitting with the glittery elements in the wreath being quite sparkly.
I did enjoy making this card however I was reminded about getting glue everywhere! lol.
I wish to thank Mary Fish for creating such beautiful cards and sharing them for inspiration.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my project.
