My project for the hop is a Festive Flurry Easel card made with the Stampin' Up! Festive Flurry Stamp Set and co-ordinating Framelits dies. I thought it would be fitting to feature a Christmas themed product. I LOVE this stamp set. There are 4 stamps in the set, all different sizes so they are perfect for layering projects like I have done. The set comes in Wood Mount or Clear mount. This stamp set is also very popular for making Christmas hanging decorations. The Easel card is something a little different to the traditional card, so I put the two together and came up with this. Best thing about an Easel card is you can lay flat to post and when the recipient receives it they stand it up to show! The Framelits dies they match with are perfect. That's what I enjoy so much about Stampin Up stamp sets, there are so many that co-ordinate with framelits dies to use with the Big Shot. Such a crisp shape and they set the stamp off perfectly. I used the metallic Silver ink pad and then applied Heat and Stick Powder. Heat set the Heat and Stick powder to get it sticky and then applied Stampin Glitter and heat set again. This gives the stamped image a very sparkly and blingy finish and because its been heat set, it wont flake off. Click on the links below to view these items in my shop. They are items in the current Stampin Up Holiday Catalogue and are only available until 01 Feb 2014. Heat and Stick Powder is in the Annual catalogue and available all year round. Once you've got them, you can use them for all your Christmas projects year after year.
